sustainable operations

Sustainable growth and clear targets

One of the focus areas of our strategy is “Sustainable operations.”

Bravida is to achieve climate neutrality across the entire value chain by 2045, while maintaining high ethical standards for ourselves and our suppliers. Through close partnerships, we and our solutions enable our customers to achieve their climate targets, and together we create a more resilient and circular society.

Bravida’s Sustainability Policy

Bravida’s Sustainability Policy provides guidance on how sustainability work is to be conducted as an integrated part of Bravida’s operations. Sustainability efforts are essential to future-proof and develop our business. Achieving success requires the commitment and active involvement of management, managers, and employees.

Sustainability framework

Bravida’s sustainability work focuses on three priority areas: environment, social responsibility and governance.

Environment

Reduce the environmental and climate impact of operations

One of Bravida’s most material sustainability topics is to reduce the environmental and climate impact of our operations.

Through careful planning and optimisation of resource and material use, as well as by offering automation, energy optimisation and regular service, we have strong opportunities to enable reduction of our customers’ environmental footprint. Our long-term ambition is to achieve climate neutrality across our entire value chain by 2045. Our climate targets have been validated in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) criteria:

  • Bravida Holding AB commits to reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2029, using 2023 as the base year.
  • Bravida Holding AB commits that 76% of its suppliers, based on procurement volume of goods and services, will have science-based climate targets by 2029.
  • Bravida Holding AB commits that 70% of its customers, based on revenue related to the use of sold products, will have science-based climate targets by 2029.

Social responsibility

Our vision is that everyone should return home safe and sound every day

Our employees’ competence and engagement are the foundation of our value creation.

We work systematically to create a safe and healthy work environment for both employees and contractors. We see clear results from our efforts, while continuing to improve. Our vision is that everyone should return home safe and unharmed every day.

We apply established methods and preventive measures, including:

  • Group-wide system for incident and risk management
  • Annual Health and Safety Week
  • Follow-up of key performance indicators linked to management incentives
  • Health and safety training for all employees
  • Systematic risk assessments
  • The STOP method (Stop, Think, Observe, Plan, Act)

Governance

Responsibility and business ethics at every stage

Bravida strives to always be a credible and responsible operator, a reliable business partner and a  market leader in business ethics.

We expect responsible behaviour both internally and from our suppliers. By coordinating purchases across the organisation, we have become a significant player with the ability to influence the supply chain. We also place the same requirements on our suppliers as we do on ourselves. All suppliers are required to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

How we influence the supply chain:

  • We promote a supply chain that takes people, the environment and the climate into account
  • We assess how suppliers comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Our BraVal labelling supports the organisation in making more sustainable product choices
